Welcome to Gio's Cafe & Deli... located in the historic Chicago neighborhood
of Bridgeport. In the spring of 2001, Giovanni (Gio) and Nacho opened the
doors to their southern Italian Restaurant and retail store. The "Little
Wonder Restaurant", as referred to by food critic James Ward, servers
quality Italian Food and offers Italian specialty food items.
Gio (former owner of Bella Notte) and Nacho, both veterans of the Rosebud
Group, joined together to create a festive, family friendly dining environment
with a unique, southern Italian style.
In addition to the menu items, Chef Victor Quezada creates daily special, featuring soup, appetizer, meat, poultry and fish dishes.
James Ward, ABC-7’s food critic, rate Gio’s Café & Deli as one of Chicago’s top ten restaurants in 2004. Gio’s also received 3 forks from the Chicago Tribune’s food critic, Janet Frantz (cheap eats).
